The Gardening Circle

A weekly gardening course in the Pardes Chana neighborhood

The Gardening Circle is an 18-week course that rotates between my garden and participants’ gardens. Participants learn to plan, plant, and care for sustainable organic home gardens filled with vegetables, herbs, teas, medicines, and flowers.

In this unnerving era we're living through, it's so beneficial to take a moment and reconnect with nature and literally touch grass. The Gardening Circle offers a sanctuary where we slow down, reconnect with the earth and cultivate vegetables and community. In the garden, we encounter resilience in the face of challenges, learn from both successes and setbacks, practice patience, sharpen our powers of observation and of course - we harvest, laugh, connect and feast.

This season we will cover:

*becoming familiar with each plant and what it needs to thrive

*garden mapping & planning

*planting/seeding techniques & schedules

*establishing & maintaining irrigation systems

*homemade living organic fertilizer production

*respectful pest control

*weeding, "weeds" and their many gifts

*bed prep and maintenance

*harvesting techniques for maximum bounty

*perennials. annuals & herbs

*companion planting

*edible flowers

*all the little things that come up along the way

Hey, I'm Shoshana.

I'm a gardener, a group facilitator and a lover of all things learned in nature with community.

I have been gardening and helping others garden since attending the Adamah Fellowship in 2005.

In addition to the gardening circle, I offer one on one consultations, teach online gardening classes, and organize a monthly homesteading course.

Today I maintain a home garden where my family and I grow our food together with love.

"I started Shosh's Gardening Circle after completing an ecological farming program and volunteering on farms. Yet, I found myself clueless about starting a small garden at home. Joining the gardening circle transformed my understanding. The course welcomes everyone, from complete beginners to those with farm experience.

Over a year since the course ended, our group remains active, with Shosh always available to answer questions with love, patience, and enthusiasm.

This course profoundly deepened my connection to the earth, seasons, and the world. It equipped me with invaluable tools to cultivate a garden in any space, making it one of the most valuable experiences of my life. "
